Volvo’s latest new product has broken cover a little early. Photos of the all-new V60 have surfaced online ahead of its Geneva Motor Show debut.
As expected, the V60 is sharing its design strategy with the XC60 and 90 series Volvo products. Of course, this synergy means the V60 looks like a stunning wagon for the market. This design looks a little more dynamic than the larger V90, while the rear design also appears a little evolved from other Volvo products.
The shared design stems from shared underpinnings. The new V60 will be built atop the same SPA architecture that underpins all of the 90 series vehicles and the new XC60. The S60 will also be built on SPA.
Power for the V60 is expected to come from a wide range of engines, starting with the possible addition of Volvo’s three-cylinder engine. Expect gas and diesel four-cylinders, while a T8 plug-in hybrid with around 400 horsepower is on the table as well for this wagon.
Expect further details on the Volvo V60 to be released next week ahead of its Geneva debut.
