Volvo's L.A. Auto Show Display Won't Have Cars

Many automakers have teased or announced their planned reveals for next week’s Los Angeles Auto Show. However, Volvo is taking a different approach this year by not bringing a single vehicle to display in their booth at this year’s show.

Volvo is actually blaming show organizers for its reasoning to not display any vehicles. In recent years the L.A. show has rebranded as Automobility L.A. to be more all-encompassing to the concept of future mobility. It’s a trend that has permeated several industry shows and conferences.

So instead of vehicles this year, Volvo will have a grand display that says “This is not a car” and feature a host of interactive displays to help have a conversation about the future of mobility. An interesting concept, to say the least.

Needless to say, we don’t have to worry about any new Volvo products being introduced at this show.
