A quick-acting Volvo fan has allegedly caught an official shot of upcoming XC40. The shot (above) was found on the company’s German website for a very brief period of time before being removed.
Despite not showing the whole vehicle, the image does confirm a few things for us. First, it confirms the production vehicle will borrow many design cues from the 40.1 Concept. Those cues include the flowing LED taillight down the entire D-pillar and integrated exhaust outlets.
Volvo released official “teasers” about the XC40 last week. The teasers, close ups of the vehicle’s interior materials, were intended to highlight the XC40’s apparent broad color options. The colors of which have been influenced by pop culture and fashion.
The XC40 is slated to be revealed in a few weeks. The new crossover will ride on Volvo’s Compact Modular Architecture (CMA) and offer a host of powertrain options, ranging from a three-cylinder to a TwinEngine hybrid variant.
@mkilz managed to catch this picture of the supposed new XC40 on the German Volvo Cars website. Looks like a mistake of Volvo Cars 🇩🇪 since the picture was removed quickly after.
