Volvo has formally announced a staring price of $47,945 for the all-new S90 sedan. The price tag comes in about $3,000 higher than the outgoing S80 sedan, however the S90 is packing more standard features and looks absolutely stunning in comparison to its predecessor. Buyers may also opt to order their new S90 online, which gives you a slight price break.
S90’s entry-level price gets you a front-wheel drive T5 model, while opting for the all-wheel drive T6 will run you at least $53,045. Both variations of the car come standard with luxuries such as leather seats, selectable drive modes, lane-keep assist, sunroof, dual power seats, Volvo Sensus infotainment system and even adaptive cruise control.
The T6 also gains a more powerful turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder with 316 horsepower. Both T5 and T6 are available in two trim levels, Momentum and Inscription.
Buyers may already order their new S90 online from Volvo. The brand has opened up orders of two pre-packaged versions of the S90 T6, and both will run you north of $60,000. Ordering online will also gain you access to “Volvo Concierge” service, which keeps you informed of your S90’s progress from production to delivery.
The S90 will begin coming ashore later this summer. Pricing for upcoming T8 plug-in hybrid version has not yet been announced, but the car will not go on sale in the U.S. until next year.
