Well Audi wins the customer service award for this week. The German brand is producing a six-door, 20-foot long version of its A8 sedan all because one undisclosed customer requested it. Clearly said customer has some really deep pockets as we highly doubt Audi did this out of the kindness of their hearts.
The car is exactly that – an A8 with two more doors. Though this limo isn’t quite has heavy or awkward as most stretch versions, largely thanks to Audi’s aluminum frame and body. The A8 L Extended comes in at just over 5,300 pounds, which is actually remarkably light for such a long car.
Audi has also dressed up the interior a bit, with a mostly glass roof and entertainment system for both rows of rear passengers. Naturally they’ve even included a cool box to keep your beverage cold, because chances are if you’re buying a custom-built Audi…you demand a cold drink too.
Otherwise the A8 L Extended has the same specifications sheet as the normal A8. This includes the car’s 3.0-liter supercharged V-6 with 310 horsepower and 325 pound-feet of torque. Paired with an eight-speed automatic, this limo can run to 60 mph in about seven seconds.
