The Lexus LC coupe is a stunning vehicle, but it looks even better topless. Lexus has released photos of the Lexus LC Convertible, which the luxury brand is calling a concept ahead of debuting the car next week at the Detroit Auto Show.
In case anyone has forgotten what the current LC looks like, this ‘concept’ is hardly such. This concept is literally the current Lexus LC with the top shaved off, indicating that production of it almost has to be imminent.
“This concept takes the unmistakable design of the LC coupe and reimagines it as a future convertible,” Tadao Mori, chief designer of the LC Convertible concept states in Lexus’ press release. He goes on to say, “A production version of this concept would be exhilarating in many different ways.”
Exhilarating to look at, indeed. Lexus isn’t saying much else about this particular concept. We know it is riding on 22-inch wheels and has a few other unique details, like yellow stitching in the interior. The powertrain resting under the hood of this ‘concept’ is still unknown, though.
Lexus will formally reveal the LC Convertible Concept next week in Detroit. Expect a few more details at that time.
