Continuing its trend away from a boring boat into a sporty sedan, Toyota has pulled the wraps off the fifth generation Avalon.
Exterior wise, the front end is inspired by Lexus with a wide and tall continuous grill that takes up nearly the entire front end. The side profile now carries a strong character line until the rear wheel. The rear also looks Lexus-inspired as well with a sharp angled continuous taillight.
Heading into the interior, the center stack stands out with its rolling design and a 9-inch display. There is also a 7-inch display past the steering wheel for the driver.
The all-new Avalon is now 2 inches longer than the current generation and can be powered by either Toyota’s venerable 3.5L V6 or a Hybrid system.
The Avalon is equipped with most modern safety technologies including Toyota Safety Sense.
Toyota is really doubling down on the large car market even as the market continues to falter and many brands are looking to exit the market.
Look for the Avalon will be available in late Spring.
