Toyota has released the first image of the 2021 Toyota RAV4 Plug-in Hybrid. The image accompanied an announcement confirming Toyota will reveal the 2021 RAV4 Plug-in Hybrid at the upcoming Los Angeles Auto Show.
No details surrounding the plug-in hybrid model have been released thus far. RAV4 buyers already have a hybrid option, which includes a 2.5-liter four-cylinder that supplements power with an electric motor at the rear axle. The combination makes 219 horsepower.
Expect to see a similar powertrain in the RAV4 Plug-in Hybrid, but with a larger battery and a charge port.
Further details surrounding the 2021 RAV4 will show up in November during the LA show. Expect to see the RAV4 Plug-in to arrive in Toyota dealerships sometime in 2020.
