Tesla CEO Elon Musk says he will provide a product roadmap update during the company’s next earnings call. The earnings call is scheduled for Jan. 26th, where one focus of the update is expected to be on the Tesla Cybertruck.
Musk is notorious for being vocal on Twitter about Tesla’s plans, including future product plans. That said, in recent months the executive has been quieter about what the future holds for Tesla products. Instead, Musk has focused his tweets on providing updates to Tesla’s Full Self-Driving mode functionality and underscoring supply chain issues.
One product that everyone is eager to get an update on is the Cybertruck. Tesla revealed a concept version of the Cybertruck back in 2019. Like is so common with Tesla, the company has failed to hit any of its own targets for getting the Cybertruck to market. In fact, just recently Tesla’s website was updated to suggest the Cybertruck will not come to market in 2022. Meanwhile, Ford, GM and Rivian are all bringing production EV pickups to market.
An update on the Tesla Semi would also be interesting. Like the Cybertruck, the status of this Tesla promise is also unclear and has not been the subject of discussion from the company in quite some time.
Hopefully the investor community is provided a wholesome update on Jan. 26th. Stay tuned for details.
