A revised version of the Tesla Cybertruck could be revealed as soon as next quarter. This news comes amid the understanding that Cybertruck production is still slated to start by the end of 2021.
News of a possible Cybertruck reveal next quarter came the way most Telsa news comes: Elon Musk’s Twitter. Responding to a question from a follower, Musk states, “Update probably in Q2. Cybertruck will be built at Giga Texas, so focus right now is on getting that beast built.”
Previously, Musk stated Tesla would be “lucky” if it could commence Cybertruck production this year.
Tesla first revealed the controversial Cybertruck back in November 2019. An updated version of the truck was expected to be revealed sometime in 2020, but that never materialized. Musk has alleged the company has been making revisions to the truck since its original reveal.
The Cybertruck is slated to be built at Tesla’s new factory outside of Austin, Texas. This facility is under construction and is slated to be complete sometime by the end of this year. The Texas factory is also expected to build the Tesla Semi, as well as Model 3 and Model Y’s for the eastern half of the U.S.
