Apparently Chevrolet was tired of the speculation, because the 2017 Chevrolet Bolt is officially debuting this Wednesday (Jan. 6th) at CES. The brand confirmed their intentions this evening in a press release revealing the new EV’s logo (shown above).

“The Bolt EV truly embodies the ingenuity that is at the core of everything we do at Chevrolet,” said Alan Batey, president of General Motors North America and head of Global Chevrolet. “The technologies and the engineering expertise behind the Bolt EV are tremendous examples of the kind of innovation we intend to offer our customers, across an array of products at a tremendous value – something only Chevrolet can deliver.”

Chevrolet is claiming that the long-range EV will do about 200 miles on a charge and come in under $30,000 after government tax incentives. Both metrics were major hurdles for the company to cross, so it will be interesting to hear all of the details of how they were crossed.
