An all-new Nissan Pathfinder is nearing its big debut. Our first official look at the 2022 Pathfinder came via a YouTube video from Nissan, depicting a the new SUV playing in the mud.

The six-second clip is hardly overly revealing. It’s just enough to flash up a shaded view of the front, which appears to be borrowing many of its design cues from the new Rogue. There’s slim LED headlights riding high, while the hood design also offers nods to the Rogue. One can safely assume a large V-motion grille design under those lamps. A similar story is found in back with a lighting design similar to the Rogue. The new Pathfinder does appear to be boxier than the Rogue, though.

Also borrowed from the Rogue, the new Pathfinder has its name centered on the rear liftgate. This is a design trait the quick video focused on, using the name to illustrate the phrase “find a path.” Clever, right?

The 2022 Nissan Pathfinder is expected to debut on February 4th. Considering the current Pathfinder dates back all the way to the 2013 model year, it is safe to say a new one is long overdue. This new Pathfinder will bump against a long list of competitors, including the Toyota Highlander and Kia Telluride.

Unfortunately, little information has informally leaked out ahead of the Pathfinder’s reveal, so stay turned for more details.
