In Mitsubishi’s press release, you will see words like “style” and “agility” mentioned, but this is ironically a mirage.
Presented for its North American debut, the new Mirage G4, the sedan version of the Mirage sold elsewhere in the world for the past few years, showed off its new face. Mitsubishi hopes the facelift and the addition of the sedan will boost its already lackluster sales in the North American market.
Both the hatch and G4 come standard with a frugal 1.2L I3 engine, which has been criticized for its performance in tests in NA in the past.
One hopes that Mitsubishi focused on quality with the new model with the current Mirage being on of the worst offerings in the US. Aspects going for the Mirage include excellent fuel economy and low price.
Both the Mirage and Mirage G4 are produced in Thailand. Sales should begin later this year.
