Mercedes-Benz confirmed awhile ago plans to reveal a new concept at this year’s CES Show in Las Vegas. With CES less than a week out, it comes as no surprise Mercedes is starting the slow and steady striptease of a concept the brand is calling “pioneering.”
Through its social media channels Mercedes is showing a brief video clip of the concept, which shows off a wraparound light bar on the front fascia. This design element is different than what we’ve seen from other Mercedes concepts, but the light bar seems to bevel out into headlights. The grille area seems to be filled in with blue lights, an indicator that this concept will be from Mercedes’ electric EC sub-brand.
Aside from showing off the teaser (below), Mercedes isn’t saying much. Supposedly the “pioneering concept” is “inspired by one of the most innovative brands of the entertainment sector,” though Mercedes has yet to disclose said brand.
Nonetheless, we don’t have long to wait. Mercedes-Benz will reveal its latest concept next week on January 6th at CES. The reveal will happen alongside Daimler CEO Ola Källenius delivering the keynote address to CES.
