The National Highway Transportation Safety Administration (NHTSA) has reported that Hyundai will be recalling the Sonata. According to the report, about 978,000 Sonata sedans will be recalled due to a seat belt issue.
Hyundai filed the recall notice with NHTSA earlier today. The company has disclosed that the defect has caused some minor injuries, but it has not detailed said injuries.
The recall campaign is slated to begin in April and will include Sonata sedans from the 2011 to 2014 model years and Sonata Hybrid sedans from 2011 to 2015.
