Building up to its mid-February reveal, the 2022 Hyundai Ioniq 5 is showing off its headlights. The unique looking square bezels are shown in a new teaser video released by Hyundai.

This isn’t the first time Hyundai has focused on the Ioniq 5’s headlights. The company has already detailed its Parametric Pixels design feature. The pixels are supposedly the “the smallest unit of digital imaging.” Both the headlights and taillights will leverage the pixel approach. The approach gives both lamps a unique appearance, noted in the video. The overall design of the Ioniq 5 is heavily based on the Concept 45. It is also the first Hyundai vehicle to ride on the company’s new E-GMP architecture.

In addition to a distinctive design, the Ioniq 5 is expected to have dual electric motors and fast-charging capabilities.

While the Ioniq 5 is the focal point of this 45-second video, there’s a couple other Hyundai’s in the video. The current Telluride has a brief cameo in the brief action clip. More interestingly, the all-new Sonata seems to make an appearance as well. Those we’ll note its cameo is so brief it’s difficult to tell.
