After issuing a teaser photo of the all-new Hyundai Santa Fe, the brand has now issued official sketches of their latest SUV. The sketches show off a Santa Fe with a face similar to the new Kona, which is quickly becoming the new brand look for Hyundai.
The current Hyundai Santa Fe has been on the market since 2006; a staggeringly long tenure in a market that is hot for SUVs and crossovers. Hyundai is hoping to make up some lost sales ground with the 2019 Santa Fe, which will obviously sport a bolder look than today’s version. The fourth-generation variant appears to be sleeker than today’s Santa Fe, with a large grille and slim lamps like the Kona and a pointed rear hatch design.
A sleeker design will match better driving dynamics. Hyundai has been seen developing the new Santa Fe at the famed Nürburgring in Germany, a sign this SUV is going at least be a little bit fun to drive.
In addition to enhanced driving dynamics, expect the new Santa Fe to pack the latest active safety gear and infotainment tech when it goes on sale next year.
Hyundai will reveal the all-new Santa Fe next month at the Geneva Motor Show.
