Honda Sketches 2018 Accord

Honda has released the first official teaser of the upcoming 2018 Accord. The tenth generation variant of Honda’s midsize sedan is slated to be revealed in Detroit on July 14th and live on YouTube.

The sketch shows what appears to be a largely evolutionary design that brings the Accord in line with the rest of Honda’s most recent products. This means a larger grille design and a crossbar that looks similar to that found on the face of the current Civic.

In addition to the new exterior, Honda has also confirmed three different powertrain options, two of which will have direct injection and turbochargers attached. Honda has also confirmed the car will offer a CVT automatic, Honda’s new 10-speed automatic and a six-speed manual gearbox as part of the Accord’s roster. The lineup will be bookended with Honda’s two-motor hybrid system.

Expect the remaining details to be revealed on July 14th at the reveal event. Those not in Detroit can watch the reveal live on YouTube here.
