Owner Says Chevrolet Bolt EV Crashed Itself

Well, chalk this story up as a bizarre one. A Chevrolet Bolt EV owner has posted on My Chevy Bolt  owner forum that his Bolt EV crashed itself inside his garage while no one was around it. The above photo is allegedly of the self-crashing Bolt EV.

The owner says he’s the only one that drives the Bolt EV. He was allegedly not home, the keys were not in the Bolt EV and it was in park during the incident. The claim is that the Bolt EV somehow started itself, put itself in reverse and backed into the workbench behind it inside the owner’s garage.

At this time we only know the owner’s side of the story. He has posted online that General Motors is sending engineers from Michigan to his home to investigate the incident further. Needless to say, GM is probably taking the claim very seriously since the Bolt EV is their crown jewel.

We’ll be sure to follow this story for updates and official findings from GM.

did it say if the bbbBolt was being charged at the time?

seems sometimes when the battery in some devices goes dead there's like a surge and weird things can happen ... or at least *beep* ... my alarm clock does that

Its going to be interesting to find out if his story is true or not, and if somehow it is I want to know how the hell that happened.
Yikes... it's a good thing no one was behind the vehicle at the time.
