Chevrolet has released pricing details for its all-new 2020 Silverado HD lineup. In general, the price of entry is in line with the 2019 model, but the price tag will climb quickly as buyers elevate the trim level.
The 2020 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD will have a starting price of $35,695, including a $1,595 destination fee. That base price will get you a regular cab, long bed in the Work Truck trim. Those keeping tabs will find that the base price is actually $300 less than the 2019 model. Swap out the regular cab for the more popular crew cab and a short bed will bring the price tag to $39,895.
Below is a chart showing the price of each 2020 Chevrolet Silverado HD trim level:
|Trim Level||2020 Price||YoY Change|
|Silverado 2500HD Custom||$42,395||New for 2020|
|Silverado 2500HD LT||$43,395||-$1,800|
|Silverado 2500HD LTZ||$52,095||$1,100|
|Silverado 2500HD High Country||$62,695||$5,000|
All versions of the 2020 Silverado HD come standard with a new 6.6-liter V-8 gas engine, replacing the very old 6.0-liter found under the hood of the 2019 model. Buyers wanting the diesel option can spec out all trim levels with the optional Duramax 6.6-liter turbo-diesel V-8, which has a maximum towing rating of 35,500 pounds. If history is any indicator, the diesel engine will be a costly option for buyers.
