Rumors of a V-Series variant of the Cadillac Escalade are nearly as old as the V-Series sub-brand itself. These rumors haven’t just been from fans, but also speculation spurred by GM itself. Slapping a mega-V8 under the hood of one of the most iconic vehicles in the U.S. seemed like a logical choice to many, but it never happened. Until now. Finally, we have a Cadillac Escalade-V.

The beautiful thing about this Escalade-V is that it is exactly what many have always wanted. The formula that has made the CT4-V and CT5-V Blackwing sedans great has simply been applied to the iconic Escalade. It’s joining the sedans to provide a proper send-off to the days of the V8 engine, ridiculous inefficient power and excess.

Oddly, Cadillac isn’t offering any details on the 2023 Escalade V-Series quite yet aside from the above image. We expect power to come from the same supercharged 6.2-liter V-8 that is found in the CT5-V Blackwing, but GM has yet to confirm. Cadillac will offer more details on the Escalade-V this spring.
