2020 Cadillac XT6 Shows Face

Cadillac is slated to reveal its all-new 2020 XT6 crossover in the coming days. Ahead of its reveal, GM’s luxury brand has released the above teaser shot showcasing the XT6’s face.

Unsurprisingly, the teaser confirms the XT6 will wear a face similar to the 2019 CT6, which originates from the Cadillac Escala Concept from a few years ago. This design language brings the XT6 a very bold grille design with thin, horizontal LED headlights resting on both sides. A dramatic lower air intake and vertical LED fog lamps round out the appearance.

Fitting of a teaser, the shot doesn’t tell us much beyond the above. We do know the XT6 will be based on the C1XX architecture that underpins vehicles such as the Buick Enclave and Chevrolet Traverse, meaning this will end up being a fairly large crossover for the Cadillac brand.

When the XT6 arrives to market later this year, it will be competing with the likes of the 2020 Lincoln Aviator and redesigned 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLE Class, meaning it has some stiff competitors.

It is not yet known which powertrains will grace the XT6. GM’s well-known 3.6-liter V-6 is found in its stablemates, but it would seem plausible to assume the Cadillac will get a unique engine option or two to set it apart from the rest of the GM pack.

Expect more details on the 2020 Cadillac XT6 to drop in the next couple of days.
