Buick Returns to Super Bowl with Ad Featuring Cam Newton and Miranda Kerr

Buick is returning to the Super Bowl again this year with a spot promoting the Encore crossover and Cascada convertible that features NFL MVP Cam Newton and supermodel Miranda Kerr.

Titled “Pee Wee,” the commercial is set at a football game where two fathers watching their children play notice a Cascada as it pulls into parking lot. Buick says that the light-hearted ad was designed to appeal to a wide audience and follows the familiar “That’s a Buick?” campaign that the marque has been promoting in recent years.

The ad officially made its debut Tuesday evening during the CBS special “Super Bowl’s Greatest Commercials” and will air during the first quarter of the game on February 5.

A weak commercial for a weak, unfocused, uninteresting brand. I wish GM would have gotten it's act together with Buick, but seeing how Buick is becoming nothing more than uninspiring blandly designed Opel offerings; I have completely written Buick off as a future purchase.

The Casscada looks so dated in that commercial (Love the color though!) it's not even funny. Every time I see a Casscada think it's an updated 2005 Pontiac G6 convertible just with more bloat.

IIRC some Buick head said that this car was the flagship for Buick?...pass.

The Casscada is a dated product to begin with the interior looks like it's from 2003 and they are just charging too much for it IMO.

Does it really matter as much now with most folks doing Internet searches before going out to test drive. You now just have to show that your product exist. Buicks now are so solid all they need is to get butts in seats.

I do not like this ad. In fact, I think Buick marketing as a whole comes off cheap.

Alot of the commercials are already available for viewing. Most will still see them during the game though. No harm no foul. Good or bad having a commercial is the most important part for Buick.
