Porsche keeps is becoming fairly consistent at churning out electrified versions of its range. This time the all-new Cayenne is getting electrified with a new E-Hybrid variant that's packing a respectable 455 horsepower.*

The Cayenne E-Hybrid is powered by turbocharged 3.0-liter V-6 engine that hammers out 335 horsepower and 332 pound-feet of torque. But that's not all. Thanks to the E-Hybrid setup, there's also a 14.1-kWh lithium-ion battery pack and electric motor combination that contributes 134 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque to the power equation here. For those keeping tab, that means the Cayenne E-Hybrid will carry 455 horsepower and 630 pound-feet of torque.*

Although the battery pack remains the same size, it's following an industry trend by offering denser power and higher capacity. The added juice will allow the SUV to travel up to 27 miles in pure-electric mode at speeds up to 83 mph. Once the battery is depleted it will take about eight hours to charge it using the Cayenne's onboard charger. An optional charger can reduce charge-time to about 2.3 hours.

Porsche says the E-Hybrid will accelerate from zero to 60 mph in about 4.7 seconds. This means a .7 second improvement over the previous Cayenne E-Hybrid.

From a styling perspective, variance from the average Cayenne is minimal. Like other E-Hybrid models, Porsche has added Acid Green accents throughout the exterior and interior; a status symbol for the brand's electrified models. Yes, this also includes Acid Green brake calipers.*

Adding some additional temptation for prospective buyers, Porsche has also added*Auxiliary Cabin Conditioning system, the Sport Chrono Package and the Porsche Active Suspension Management system to the standard equipment list of the E-Hybrid.

That added standard equipment and its hybrid power will come with a base price of $80,950 including destination charges. The 2019 Porsche Cayenne E-Hybrid will go on sale early next year.*
