Consumer Reports has once again released its annual scorecard indicating which marques offer the best vehicles based on a combination of road tests, predicted reliability, owner satisfaction and safety.

For the second straight year, Audi is ranked at the top of the list, followed by Porsche, BMW, Lexus and Subaru. Meanwhile, Fiat, Jeep, Mitsubishi and Land Rover have the dubious distinction of appearing at the bottom of the list.

Of the 35 brands included in the 2017 results, Porsche, BMW and Mazda were the only marques in which all of the models offered within their line-ups earned recommendations.

Among the marques that improved the most this year, Chrysler rose seven places while Acura, Infiniti, and Cadillac jumped six spots.

Brands that experienced the largest drops in this year’s rankings include Mini at 11 and Volkswagen at 7 spots.

Audi's Q7 is a top pick this year in Consumer Reports. That's an impressive distinction.
