Reddit Shows 2019 Ram 1500 Early

Thanks to a Reddit user, the 2019 Ram 1500 has leaked ahead of its debut later this week. The image above was shared on the discussion website without confirmation of its origins, but it sure looks like the real-deal Ram.

Spy shots have recently shown quite a bit of the new Ram and this image seems to validate all previous assumptions about the new look. Ram’s notorious crosshair grille design has been ditched by a look similar to the Ram Heavy Duty, flanked by new, slimmer headlights. The headlights also feature a chrome “brow” that is new design language for the Ram brand.

Beyond the front face, the body does not appear to be significantly changed from today’s version. Subtle changes to the body lines, such as more pronounced creases and fender flare extensions round out this new Ram. Of course, expect several iterations of the new look with various trim levels; this one appears to be a Laramie edition.

FCA will be revealing the new Ram 1500 at this week’s Detroit Auto Show. While we now know what it looks like, the rest of the details remain a mystery until show time.

I see current Ram mixed with a K2XX truck actually.

It looks all right, but beyond the new tailgate which we've only seen in patent drawings, it definitely isn't setting any bars for design. I mean you can almost see the desperation to do something "different" by placing the Ram 1500 badge on the hood rather than the fender or door.
I feel like the current Ram mated with the Tundra to produce this thing.
