Volkswagen is slated to reveal a new version of its I.D. Crozz Concept at next week’s Frankfurt Motor Show. The German automaker is putting the concept on replay to showcase a more realistic version of its upcoming electric sedan.
VW has offered up a teaser video of the I.D. Crozz Concept, which offers us plenty of detail. The video highlights the fact that round two of the Crozz is certainly more production-ready. The concept-like surfacing of the first Crozz has been ironed out some; with a more traditional VW front clip that would be at home in a VW showroom now.
Aside from the teaser video, not a lot is known about the new Crozz from a technical perspective. The first concept offered up an all-electric setup with two motors, sending 302 horsepower to all four wheels. The two motors were powered from a 83-kWh battery pack that rides under the floor of VW’s MEB architecture.
Eventually the I.D. Crozz is slated to go into production as part of the brand’s I.D. lineup of electric vehicles, which also includes the I.D. Buzz that has been confirmed for production.
