Porsche announced on Tuesday that it will not be making an appearance at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit in January, 2017.

The German manufacturer of high-performance sports cars indicated in the statement that it plans to focus its efforts on the New York and Los Angeles trade shows, with the latter being its most important U.S. market.

Earlier in the day, Auto motor und sport reported that Porsche considered attending the Detroit show to no longer provide value relative to the level of commitment.
