The Los Angeles show may have just ended, but teaser for next month’s Detroit Auto Show are already coming out. First up is the Lexus LF-1 Limitless, a concept the Japanese luxury automaker will reveal in the Motor City.
In keeping with the nature of teaser images, Lexus is accompanying it with little information. Lexus is simply referring to the LF-1 Limitless as a “flagship crossover.”
Frankly, that description could be derived from the teaser image itself. Showcasing a very steep D-pillar design, the vehicle makes its crossover stature obvious. What is left for the imagination is just how much crossover is left unseen. The term “flagship” seems to imply this could be a preview of what a Lexus competitor to the Audi Q8 could look like.
It’s also possible this vehicle is simply a design study.
Regardless, we will all know more next month at the show. It is worth noting that Lexus has a legacy of using concepts to preview actual upcoming production cars, so whatever the LF-1 Limitless may be, it’s likely something that will bear fruit later on.
