The reveal of the 2020 Toyota Supra is only days away, but that isn’t stopping folks from leaking images of this highly-anticipated Toyota. Enthusiasts have snapped the above photo of the production Supra, giving us our first unofficial look at the car’s rear.
Captured by folks at the enthusiast website SupraMKV the image shows off a production Supra that has clear inspiration from the FT-1 Concept. Design traits like triangular taillights, an aggressive diffuser and center-mount reverse lamp all reek of the FT-1 Concept.
The revived Supra is based on the same platform as the new BMW Z4. The BMW bones mean the Supra will be powered by BMW’s turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder and 3.0-liter inline-six. Other details of the production Supra will have to wait until the upcoming Detroit Auto Show, where the car is set to bow around January 13th.
