Toyota Motor Company has confirmed plans to reveal the 2020 Toyota Corolla later this week. In a tweet from the company’s U.S. Twitter account it states the car will be revealed on the 15th.
Toyota revealed the new Corolla Hatchback earlier this year at the 2018 New York Auto Show, but the sedan has remained status quo until now. Given we’ve already seen the hatchback, the sedan isn’t much of a mystery; confirmed by the above teaser that accompanied the automaker’s tweet.
Expect the new Corolla to feature the same front clip design as the hatchback, including its bold trapezoidal grille design and LED-laden headlights (confirmed in the teaser). The only mystery with the sedan’s design will be the rear, which sadly has not been teased.
From a technical perspective, expect the new Corolla sedan to be powered by the same 168 horsepower 2.0-liter engine that’s found under the hood of the hatchback.
Nonetheless, all remaining Corolla mysteries will be cleared up on Thursday once the car is revealed. Its first public appearance will be later this month at the Los Angeles Auto Show. a
