Tesla Enthusiast Catches Model 3 Assembly in Motion

Apparently the Tesla Model 3 assembly line is actually moving. A new video snagged by a Tesla enthusiast allegedly shows the assembly line chugging forward, just as Tesla CEO Elon Musk declares the company is in “production hell” with its mass-market electric car.

The video captured by the Tesla Motors Club member does not tell us much, other than progress is apparently continuing when it comes to producing the Model 3 at its Fremont, Calif. plant. During the company’s recent earnings call, Musk pushed the company’s 5,000 per week production target back until “late Q1” from December of this year. The company is allegedly grappling with production automation issues, specifically related to the Model 3’s battery pack.

Tesla is reportedly now able to churn out 500 Model 3 bodies per week from its bodyshop. Of course, that does them no good if they can’t have just as many power supplies ready for the cars.
