We have been waiting for this for several years now and today is finally the day. After about 24 hours of filling orders, Tesla has finally taken the wraps off the Model 3, its first full high production capacity vehicle.

The Model 3 is smaller than the Model S and is therefore, a lot cheaper. Tesla says the model will start in the $35,000 range after all tax credits are taken advantage of. All this, with a base model that goes 0 – 60 in under 6 seconds with at least 215 miles of range!

All Model 3’s will come with autopilot hardware, which largely debuted on the Model X and can be upgraded with the Model S. Tesla’s supercharging will also come standard, which will promote “freedom of travel.” Tesla has 3,600 superchargers worldwide and will double that by the end of next year. The Model 3’s batteries will be supplied by the Gigafactory, which is under construction in Nevada. That factory will produce move lithium-ion batteries than the rest of the world combined.

Tesla says the Model 3 will fit 5 people comfortability due to moving up the front seats closer to the front thanks to not needing an front engine.

Tesla says the Model 3 will be 5 star crash tested in all categories .

Thanks to the Model 3, Tesla will be doubling their number of dealerships to over 400.

Deliveries on the Model 3 start next year. Total orders for the vehicle have already passed 115,000 in just the past day!
