Just as with the the best selling full size car, the best selling full size utility vehicle was also from Chevrolet and General Motors. 2015’s global best selling full size utility was the Chevy Tahoe/Suburban/Avalanche. The vehicle sold 173,192 units during the year.

The Avalanche sold a hand full of leftover units in 2015 even though production ended two years ago.

The Tahoe/Suburban has the United States and the Middle East to thank for its title, but not many other markets.

The second best selling full size utility vehicle in 2015 was the Toyota Sienna, which sold 163,727 units.

Typically one or both of these titles are held by FCA’s Dodge Grand Caravan or Chrysler Town & Country/Grand Voyager. However, 2015 saw production shutdowns at these vehicles’ plants for the all-new Chrysler Pacifica and this hurt sales.
