The Nissan Frontier is one of the oldest vehicles on the U.S. market, but Nissan is on the cusp of rolling out an all-new one next year. While the 2021 Frontier has not made a formal appearance, Nissan has flashed the redesign Frontier in a new video.

A big portion of Nissan’s global pickup truck portfolio is the Nissan Navara. Nissan just revealed an all-new Navara for global markets; think of it as a larger Frontier. Along with the Navara reveal, Nissan dropped a new video (below) showcasing its latest pickup truck. The video ultimately shows a scene (captured above) that looks to be a Nissan design studio that features a poster with Nissan’s new truck lineup.

Naturally, the poster is showing three pickups; the Navara, refreshed Titan and supposedly the middle truck is the 2021 Frontier. Nissan isn’t confirming if it is indeed the new Frontier, but it is worth noting that the front clip appears to match recent spy shots.

Also unsurprising is the fact that all three pickups have a similar design theme. All three trucks feature bold, shield grille designs, while the Navara and Frontier have nearly identical LED accent lights.

Nissan hasn’t said much about the 2021 Frontier just yet, but they have confirmed it will be powered by the same 3.8-liter V-6 that joined the Frontier lineup in 2020. That engine produces 310 horsepower and 281 pound-feet of torque that flows through a nine-speed automatic transmission.

The 2021 Nissan Frontier is expected to be revealed early next year. Production will commence at Nissan’s Canton, Mississipi assembly plant shortly after reveal.
