Mercedes-Maybach SUV Will Offer Custom Fragrance

Mercedes is working on the ultimate luxury SUV, a Mercedes-Maybach variant of the all-new GLS Class. The brand has confirmed the new ultra-lux SUV will be revealed in November, complete with a unique fragrance for buyers to appreciate.

This will mark the first time the Maybach badge has been affixed to an SUV. Expect loads of luxury to arrive with this variant of the GLS, including unique design cues on both the exterior and interior. It’s likely nearly every feature found on the Maybach S Class will find its way to the GLS.

Just the way Mercedes has announced this special scent tells us about all we need to know about this new Maybach. In a press release the company said “[the Maybach GLS will offer] its own signature fragrance suited to the SUV-specific interior and traveling experience”. “The white osmanthus blossom, floral and light, is rounded off by a gentle leather note and spicy tea. This elegant blend is on a bed of natural greenery.”

So yeah, the Maybach GLS is apparently going to smell really nice.

In addition to smelling nice, this iteration of the GLS is expected to offer Mercedes twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V-8 as the base engine, but if that isn’t enough Maybach buyers will be able to upgrade to the exclusive 6.0-liter V-12 engine offered in only the highest-end Mercedes vehicles.

This iteration of the GLS is also expected to carry a price tag at or above $200,000 when it arrives to market next year.
