Mercedes-Benz has offered up its first official teaser of an electric concept car slated for this month’s Frankfurt Motor Show. Officially named the Concept EQA, the concept is expected to preview the German automaker’s upcoming electric hatchback.
The head-on teaser show shows us quite a bit about the EQA. Most notably is the fact it appears it will borrow a number of primary design cues from the Generation EQ concept revealed last year at the Paris Motor Show. Among those traits, a glossy black front clip, blue and white LED lighting and a rather large grille-like graphic.
A production version of the Concept EQA is expected to rollout sometime in the 2020 time frame. It’s expected to be Mercedes’ second EQ production vehicle, with the first being an SUV similar in size to the GLC.
Mercedes-Benz will formally reveal the Concept EQA on September 12th at the Frankfurt Motor Show.
