Kia Ups its Forte With new Sedan Bound for Detroit

Kia has made it official. The Korean automaker is bringing an all-new Forte sedan for reveal next week at the Detroit Auto Show. In typical fashion, the company has released a few teaser drawings of the 2019 Forte and it looks like a mini Stinger.

At first glance, the new Forte is clearly a much sleeker car than today’s version. Sporting Kia’s new tiger nose grille design and aggressive lower fascia work, the car is paying significant homage to the new Stinger GT. Those similarities, of course, are not a bad thing in this case.

Around back the similarities to the Stinger are less obvious, though the drawing suggests that perhaps the Forte will have a nicer-looking rear than Kia’s signature new sports sedan.

An interior drawing also gives us a glimpse inside the 2019 Kia Forte, which is bumming design cues from other recent kia products. The horizontal dash design is similar to what we find in the Sportage and Stinger, but there’s a new free-standing LCD touchscreen similar to Mazda interiors.

Although the teaser shots showcase only the sedan, Koup and hatchback variants of the new Forte are also expected.

The 2019 Kia Forte will be revealed in Detroit early next week.
