Fiat Chrysler Automobiles announced on Friday that it will be recalling close to 410,000 vehicles globally to fix an electronic issue that can result in a loss of propulsion.
FCA indicated that a software update will be performed and wire harnesses will be replaced to resolve the problem. The recall affects the 2015 Chrysler 200, Ram ProMaster City, the Jeep Renegade and Cherokee and some 2014 model Cherokees.
Included in the recall are 323,000 vehicles in the United States, 35,500 units in Canada and about 51,000 cars sold in various other locations.
FCA says that there have been no accidents or injuries attributed to the issue.
