Honda Sports EV Concept: A New CRX?

Honda seems to be making it a habit of revealing adorable electric concept cars. Last month the brand revealed the Urban EV Concept that was a throwback to 1970’s Civics, now we have this Sports EV Concept.

Not only is the Sports EV Concept sharing some of its design cues with last month’s concept, but it seems to be a spiritual successor to the Honda CRX for the modern day. Simply put, it’s a rather adorable little car that continues to make the electrified future appear more exciting.

Honda isn’t saying much about the Sports EV just yet. They’re revealing it at the Tokyo Motor Show this week and confirm that it is a two-seater. Honda also says it is a performance-oriented car that utilizes artificial intelligence in some capacity.

It is really anyone’s guess if Honda will put any of this awesome looking EV concepts into production. The company seems primed to eventually churn out a performance-oriented electric vehicle; they have experience with such with the NSX and even the CR-Z. Until Honda says more, we’ll just keep our fingers crossed on this one.

I really dig this and the Toyota TJ concept. But, I like funky designs.
