As earlier reported, Cadillac is attempting to inject some new life into the 2017 ATS. Along with ditching the base 2.5-liter engine and streamlining trim levels, Cadillac is also launching new carbon black package on both ATS and CTS.

Pictured above in coupe format, the carbon black package gives the buyer midnight finish wheels, Recaro seats borrowed from the V-Series car, black chrome trim and some other details. In general it appears to be a nice enhancement to the car. No word yet on the cost of this package, but it’s a safe bet it will be a few grand given it has the Recaros in it.

Aside from the new package, the ATS is gaining 4G LTE WiFi as standard equipment for 2017. It’s also getting the latest version of Cadillac CTS with access to a new Cadillac app store. Paired with a streamlined trim selection, Cadillac’s hoping buyers flock to the 2017 ATS in a way that just haven’t with the previous model years.
