Cadillac dealers are reporting that the brand’s newest sedan is beginning to show up in showrooms. The 2016 CT6 began production several weeks ago and after the normal quality control process, the car is at dealerships around the country. The 2016 Cadillac CT6 wears a starting price of $53,495, making it the brand’s current flagship sedan ahead of the smaller CTS and ATS.

The CT6 is launching with three engine options, which include GM’s 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder, 3.6-liter V-6 and an all-new 3.0-liter twin-turbo V-6. All engine options are paired to a GM eight-speed automatic transmission. It appears that all three engines are already in production, as is the top-level CT6 Platinum. For those interested in the top-dog, a fully loaded Platinum will run you just north of $91,000.

Cadillac is undoubtedly anxious to see how the CT6 performs on the market. The car is launching to compete with luxury’s best sedans, however the price point of this car is significantly under rivals. Will the CT6 be considered a value in the segment? Does “value” even matter in this segment? Those very questions are about to get answered as the sales numbers for this car begin rolling in next month.
