We’ve known it was coming for awhile now, but Cadillac has finally released official photos of the nipped and tucked 2017 CTS. The latest model-year of the midsize luxury sedan brings a new grille and some other option changes.
The untrained eye isn’t likely to immediately notice the design changes on the CTS. The grille has been swapped out with a unit that is more in line with that of the CT6. It has more horizontal slots in it and more detail work that the 2016 car did not have. This design change is more an attempt to make the CTS look like the CT6 and XT5 than make any seismic shifts in the CTS strategy.
Around back the CTS has an entirely new rear fascia. This change is a little more obvious and welcomed. With integrated, vertical exhaust outlets and an overall slimmer bumper design, the new unit is certainly less ‘frumpy’ than the outgoing model.
Just as reported on the ATS recently, the CTS is getting a streamlined option list as well. The CTS will be available in CTS, Luxury, Premium Luxury, V-Sport and V-Sport Premium collections. Along with the streamlining are new features, such as the camera-based rearview mirror that launched in the CT6.
The CTS will also be available with a new carbon black sport package and enhancements to Cadillac’s CUE infotainment system.
