These days it’s all about the tease in automotive, and GMC knows this. This morning the brand released the above teaser shot on their corporate Facebook with the simple caption, “For your eyes only. Here is a sneak peek at the next generation of GMC. Take it all in. Coming Spring 2016.”

We’re assuming this new product, which is obviously some form of crossover or SUV, is the next-generation Acadia. The new Acadia is expected to transition to a new platform, the same one underpinning the Cadillac XT5. It’s also worth noting that the recent release of GM’s 2017 VIN Card–an annual source of product leaks–does not include today’s version of the Acadia. Production is expected to take place at GM’s Spring Hill, Tennessee plant, which also builds the XT5.

Aside from its form, there isn’t much else to be discovered from the teaser shot. Expect to hear more about the 2017 GMC Acadia at next week’s North American International Auto Show.
