A few weeks ago images of the alleged 2021 Chevrolet Equinox surfaced, but now the changes are official. Chevy has revealed the 2021 Equinox, which sports a new face and a new RS trim level.*

"If it ain't broke don't fix it" seems to be the theme of the 2021 Equinox refresh. This generation of Equinox has been quite successful and, even a few years after launching, it is still fairly competitive today. So it comes as no surprise that Chevy is playing it safe by changing really on the face of its best-selling crossover.*

The new face houses slimmer headlights, which can be fitted with LED bezels on higher-end trim levels. Chevrolet says the new grille design is more aggressive, which is a bit subjective. Around back the taillight bezels have also been swapped out, which will be LED units on high-end trims.*

Inside, the 2021 Equinox is seeing virtually no changes. There is a new gloss black trim option on the Equinox RS model, the RS of which being an all-new addition for 2021. Equinox RS buyers will enjoy a unique appearance inside and out, including blacked-out bowties, a black grille and red stitching inside.*

Rounding out the changes is the latest iteration of GM's active safety features, including a camera-based adaptive cruise control.*

The 2021 Chevrolet Equinox will go on sale later this year. Expect pricing to be announced closer to its launch.*
