All of General Motors' big crossovers leverage the company's 3.6-liter V-6, but the current Chevrolet Traverse has offered a secondary engine option in the form of a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder on the Traverse RS. According to order guides, that option is gone.*

Chevrolet has already published the order guide for the 2020 Traverse. Listed within it is equipment that is being deleted for the 2020 model year, the 2.0-liter turbo is listed with a note that it was actually pulled from the 2019 model year.*

An inspection of the Chevrolet consumer website confirms there's no longer any mention of the 2.0 turbo on the Traverse page. The engine was offered as the standard fare on the front-wheel-drive Traverse RS. The turbo four offered 295 pound-feet of torque versus the V-6's 266.*

It isn't immediately clear why Chevy has pulled the engine from the Traverse, but given its platform mates all use the exclusively use the 3.6-liter V-6, it's not entirely shocking it's been removed from the lineup.*

Chevrolet is making some additional tweaks to the 2020 Traverse. The brand is swapping out its color touchscreens with high-definition screens, this is also allowing them to upgrade the surround view camera system to HD quality and add GM's hitch guidance feature.*

The 2020 Chevrolet Traverse will begin arriving in dealerships later this year.*

Wonder if the new Cadillac 2.0T, after a period of exclusivity, will trickle down to the rest of GM. Less power, but reportedly better NVH.
