Cadillac Advertises XT4 Prior to Reveal

Cadillac will leverage a new advertising campaign to tease its upcoming XT4 crossover. The new ad spot will air as part of the brand’s sponsorship of the Academy Awards.

The 60 second spot will offer up two preview peeks of the 2019 XT4, which show off a crossover that looks much like a miniature XT5. The shots show off a similar greenhouse shape and Cadillac’s signature dramatic LED lighting treatment.

“Cadillac is proud to be a part of the Academy Awards, one of the most iconic platforms that reaches audiences across the globe,” said Cadillac Director of Marketing Renée Rauchut. “Having been featured in more than 10,000 films and television shows, Cadillac has always played a significant role in the arts. The Oscars is a natural fit for the brand and the perfect stage to reveal our exhilarating new creative, including a preview of the first-ever Cadillac XT4 and a look at our industry-leading Super Cruise technology. We’re excited to show the world what the future holds for Cadillac.”

Cadillac will show two new ad spots as part of the campaign. One is entitled “Future Is Here” while a second is appropriately called “Future Cars.”

Man, it looks good. Hopefully the XT5 sales won’t suffer.

If there is a broad enough space in size and price, it won't.

The Audi Q3 and Q5 both sell well.

Man, you have way better eyes than I do. I just see a vaguely CUV shape with Cadillac head and taillights! Hope you are right, for Cadillac's sake. They need a strong entrant into this space. And, I really hope some of the driving sparkle that's in their sedans shows up in this XT4.

There’s two vids on YouTube that Cadillac released.

The grill and hood detailing look quite nicely done. Seems like this will evolve some of Cadillac's styling themes towards the Escala concept.

Given that this sounds like it is on some variant of Espilon like the Malibu/Regal, I'm guessing a 2.0T and the nine-speed auto? Be nice to see some Cadillac-only tuning (more power?)

Man...that commercial was awful. I'm not impressed either with the commercial or most the bits of this vehicle that was shown.

I will say however that the tail-lights have somewhat caught my attention.
