2019 Lincoln MKC Bows With New Face

    by Nick Saporito

Three years after originally launching, the Lincoln MKC is getting its first revamp. Ford's luxury brand has officially revealed the 2019 MKC, sporting Lincoln's new brand design theme molded on top of the existing MKC.*

The primary change here is obviously the MKC's face. Lincoln has swapped out the hood, front clip and headlights with an all-new design that has strong family ties to the Continental and Navigator. It's a change that has been anticipated as Lincoln plans to propagate its Bentley-looking grille and larger lamps across its product range as it has finally settled on a design language.*

Beyond the new face, changes to the MKC are unsurprisingly minor. The rear design already fit with the new design language, so naturally it remains status quo. Even the sheetmetal across the body is unchanged.*

Inside is a similar story. Lincoln has largely left the interior untouched. Instead, it is gaining a few new tech features such as 4G LTE WiFi and active safety features.*

Powering the 2019 MKC will be the same turbocharged 2.0-liter and 2.3-liter engines that powered the first generation. Only this time Lincoln has boosted the power output to 245 and 285 horsepower, respectively. Those figures are up by five and 10 horsepower.*

The redesigned 2019 MKC will go on-sale in the summer. Lincoln will formally reveal it later this month at the Los Angeles Auto Show.*

There is also a new green interior option which has yet to be shown.

The new "face" is well integrated. I'm surprised. I didn't think it would look good but it does.

I like it. The Continental has Jade green, wonder if it's similar.

So does the MKZ... but I agree it could be similar unless they are planning to go bold with something more green kind of like the new Navigator with all its interior color options.

I really love the Yacht Club theme for the Navi and the blue exterior color. I would legitimately order it for personal use. I wish other brands would venture a bit.

One of my favorite interior color combos is the BMW 740 Highline:

Are we sure that's the MKC? I can never tell if I'm seeing a MKC or a MKZ.

considering one is a compact crossover and the other is a midsize sedan?

I thought the new front would not work as well on the MkC and MkX...well I was wrong!

    MkX should be up next.
