The Lincoln Nautilus nameplate has only been on the market since 2019 after replacing the MKX, but that isn’t stopping Ford Motor Company from giving the luxury crossover another substantial update. 2021 Lincoln Nautilus buyers will enjoy an entirely new interior design that features a massive new touchscreen.

Lincoln has received consistent praise for the interiors found in its Navigator, Aviator and Corsair SUVs, making the Nautilus a bit of an outlier for featuring a largely carryover interior from the MKX. Lincoln is remedying this for 2021 with an interior design that fits in with the rest of the family.

A quick look at the new interior shows it shares virtually nothing with the 2020 Nautilus. In fact, only the steering wheel remains unchanged. Subsequently, the rest of the dash has been swapped with a horizontal design theme that’s garnered so much attention in the larger Aviator. This new interior is basically the Aviator’s that’s been resized for the smaller Nautilus footprint and that’s a great strategy.

One variance this interior has with the Aviator is its massive widescreen display. The 2021 Nautilus features a 13.2-inch widescreen that serves as the control panel for Ford’s SYNC 4A infotainment system, their latest and greatest iteration that is debuting in the Ford Mustang Mach E.

Aside from this complete gut-job inside, the 2021 Nautilus remains largely unchanged. There are not substantial exterior design changes and buyers will still have the same turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder and twin-turbocharged 2.7-liter V-6 engines to select from on the options list.

The 2021 Lincoln Nautilus will go on sale in spring 2021. Pricing will be announced closer to launch.
