Powered by record profits in North America thanks to a full supply of F-150 pickups, Ford Motor Co. on Tuesday said it earned $1.9 billion dollars in the third quarter.

The Dearborn automaker posted a pre-tax profit of $2.7 billion, a third quarter record and more than double the $1.2 billion it made in the third quarter of last year. Ford posted revenue of $38.1 billion, beating analysts’ estimate of about $35 billion.
